"Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education,
because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul." - Plato.

Azalea (Dallae Jin) began her musical journey at the age of 5 in South Korea. What started as short 5-minute piano lessons quickly turned into hour-long sessions, growing her love for music. Playing the piano helped her find peace and allowed her to express herself through music, turning her from an energetic child into a focused musician.

After earning her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Master's degree in Computer & Information Science, Azalea completed doctoral coursework in child development, focusing on how music can help children improve concentration, memory, confidence, and creativity. This scientific approach has helped her develop effective ways to teach music and improve her students' learning.

Azalea has been playing piano for her church since her teenage years and continues to do so today. She also conducted the church choir for several years, gaining valuable experience and deepening her understanding of vocal music. Even after getting married and raising children, she kept playing and improving by participating in amateur piano clubs.

In 2015, after moving to Canada, Azalea made teaching music her career. She passed the RCM Piano Level 8 exams and completed the RCM Teaching Piano Course in 2022-2023, becoming a skilled music educator. Her approach combines music theory with practical skills, helping students understand and improve their music abilities.

Azalea tailors her lessons to fit each student’s learning style and goals. She helps younger students fall in love with music through fun songs and games, while for adult beginners, she focuses on building a strong foundation in music theory to give them confidence. While she mainly uses the 'Adventure Series' and RCM curriculum, Azalea is flexible and adjusts her lessons to match each student’s interests and needs.

Azalea’s goal is not just to teach piano, but to inspire her students to enjoy music for life and to share their music with others, making a positive impact. She finds great joy in watching her students grow and use the confidence they gain from music in their daily lives.

If you’re looking for a teacher who combines expertise with a caring approach, Azalea is the right choice. She is committed to helping her students build confidence, enjoy music, and achieve their personal musical goals.
