1. Practice Expectations

• Practice at least 5 days per week to build consistent skills.

• Even short daily sessions are better than missing practice entirely.

2. Parental Support

• Parents of children under 8 should sit with their child during practice.

• All parents may observe lessons to learn how to help at home.

3. Scheduling

• Lessons run Monday through Friday; no lessons on weekends.

• Lessons on official holidays follow the regular schedule unless you let me know ahead of time.

4. Attendance & Make-Up

  4.1 60-Minute Workshop

• No-show: No make-up lesson offered.

• Scheduled changes (≥ 24 hours’ notice): I will offer one free reschedule if my schedule allows.

• Teacher cancellations: I will reschedule your workshop or issue a credit.

  4.2 4-Week Mastery Course

• Missed lessons: Lessons not attended are non-refundable; one make-up lesson may be scheduled within 1 month after the four-week block at a mutually convenient time.

• Teacher cancellations: I will offer a make-up session or adjust the schedule.

  4.3 Weekly Private Lessons

• Planned changes (≥ 7 days’ notice): I will schedule make-up lessons at a mutually convenient time after your absence (e.g., family events or vacations).

• Single-lesson changes (≥ 24 hours’ notice): I will schedule one make-up lesson within the same month.

• Single-lesson no-show or < 24 hours’ notice: No make-up offered.

• Emergency medical: Inform me as soon as possible; I will reschedule within the same month.

• Teacher cancellations: If I need to cancel, I will reschedule your lesson or issue a credit.​

 

5. Cancellation & Refund

  5.1 60-Minute Workshop

• Cancel ≥ 24 hours before: Full refund.

• Cancel < 24 hours or no-show: No refund.

  5.2 4-Week Mastery Course

• Cancel ≥ 7 days before start: Full refund.

• Cancel 2–6 days before start: 50 % refund.

• Cancel < 48 hours before start: No refund.

  5.3 Weekly Private Lessons

• To cancel next month’s lessons for a full refund, notify me in writing email at least 2 weeks before the end of the current month.

• After this deadline, no refund will be issued for that month’s prepayment.

6. Payment Terms

• 60-Minute Workshop and 4-Week Mastery Course: Payment is required within 24 hours of receiving your invoice.

• Weekly Private Lessons: Payment is due before the first lesson of each month. Invoices will be sent about one week before the month ends.

• Payments can be made by cash or e-transfer to azaleapianoschool@gmail.com.

• Late payments will incur a 5% fee unless you contact me beforehand to arrange an extension.

7. Studio Conduct

• Please treat the studio, instruments, and others with respect.

• No food or drinks (except water) near the piano.

8. Privacy & Communication

• Student information is kept confidential and used only for studio administration.

• I will send schedule updates, billing notices, and studio news by email or text.

9. Media Release

• By agreeing to this policy, you allow photos, videos, and recordings of lessons to be used for teaching and promotion.

• You can opt out at any time by telling us in writing.

10. Liability Release

• By enrolling in and attending lessons or studio events, students and parents/guardians waive all claims and release Azalea Piano Studio (Azalea/Dallae Jin) from any liability for personal injury (including illness or death), property loss or damage, or financial loss arising from or in connection with studio activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
